Prof. Dr. Michael Fretschner

Prof. Dr Michael Fretschner is the programme director for the ‘Digital Marketing Management’ (M.Sc.) programme at NORDAKADEMIE University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. In addition, as a managing partner at smart impact GmbH, he advises various well-known companies (including BOSCH, Antenne Deutschland, Ströer, WallDecaux, WPP, Jenoptik and GIK) on data-driven marketing and impact research, and acts as an advisor to several martech and fintech start-ups. Prior to his appointment as professor, he headed the Insight & Solutions department for Germany, Scandinavia and the Netherlands at News Corp’s Unruly Group as Vice President Northern Europe. He studied at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and the University of Sydney, and obtained his PhD from LMU on the promotion of entrepreneurship in Germany. His work has been published in prestigious academic journals, including the *Journal of Small Business Management*, the *Journal of Media Economics*, the *International Journal on Media Management* and *Technology Analysis & Strategic Management*.

Nadine Kreutzer

Nadine Kreutzer is a journalist and presenter. She has been working in broadcasting for over 25 years and hosts congresses, conferences and dialogue events across Germany. As a qualified broadcast editor, she regularly covers events for federal ministries, companies, associations and cultural and scientific institutions. Her main areas of focus are the environment, climate, energy, the economy and research.

Prof. Malte Krüger

Malte Krüger has been a professor at Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences since 2011. He worked as a researcher at the Banco de España, the University of Western Ontario, the IPTS (Seville) and Durham University. This was followed by teaching posts in Karlsruhe and Frankfurt. For several years, he worked for PaySys Consultancy, a management consultancy specialising in card payments. Malte Krüger has published extensively in national and international journals on payment systems and other topics, and has contributed to several research projects on the subject of ‘payment systems’.

Volker Patzak

As Business Development Director at epay/transct Elektronische Zahlungssysteme GmbH, Volker Patzak is responsible for expanding the prepaid product portfolio. The business administration graduate and customer loyalty expert has held various positions in the prepaid, payment and loyalty sector since 2000 and is a member of the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA).

At PVD, he holds the position of Managing Director, Deputy Spokesman of the Management Board and Head of the Marketing working group.

Jörg Steinmetz

Mr Jörg Steinmetz is the spokesman for the PVD. He has been working in the prepaid sector for more than 20 years and has been responsible for the finance and sales business areas in the respective companies in management positions for over 15 years. He has been Managing Director of M&M GmbH since the beginning of 2019.

Christian Walz is a founding partner of Annerton Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. He advises national and international companies from the payment services, customer loyalty & vouchers, identity management and credit & finance sectors on all matters relating to payment services & payment services supervisory law, banking & banking supervisory law and money laundering law.

Christian Walz is general editor and author of the commentary on payment transaction law by Ellenberger/Findeisen/Nobbe, co-initiator and regular author of the blog ‘PAYMENT.TECHNOLOGY.LAW.’ (PayTechLaw) and regular host of the podcast format: ‘PayTechTalk’.

The Legal 500 recognised Christian Walz as a leading name in FinTech in its 2021 ranking for Germany.
